Stopped for lunch yesterday. First time there. Ordered a burger and fries which I split with a friend. Generous portions. Burger was homemade, not prefabbed frozen patty. Delicious! Ordered a piece of the homemade carrot cake to go. Amazing. Huge piece and sooo delicious! Definitely would go back!

We drove up from Queen Creek, Arizona to check out Payson and the surrounding area. We found Macky's on yelp and it looked just like what we were looking for. They have a nice menu with quite a few burgers and sandwiches along with some salads. My husband got the Mackie burger with fries abd I chose the Arizona Caprese salad so we could split the food. The burger was delicious and the meat very flavorful. I like that they grill the buns. We asked for the fries to be crispy and they were. They give you enough french fries for a group of people! Next time, we will ask for half the fries. The salad is very nice and has lots of good flavors. The pico de gallo has a slight kick so I might leave that out next time since I'm a wimp. But it does add a nice additional flavor as does the pesto. We will definitely come back here again the next time we are in Payson.

This has become a favorite stop on the way to the Rim country. The sandwiches are absolutely massive. I've tried the Cowboy Melt and Philly. They come with a heap of fries. The fries are cooked well, crisp outside and soft inside. The staff a very friendly and the wait was short. The decor is Cowboy sheik with nods to the local cowboys and rodeo folks. Don't forget to try the carrot cake, if there's any left when you order. You'll thank me when you wake up. It's rich and the frosting is amazing. Pretty sure it's keto friendly . No but worth the cheat day.

First time visiting Macky's. This place has a huge parking lot and is adjacent to the movie theatre. Primarily a burger place but the menu has other choices, but the burgers are their specialty! Everyone in our groups got burgers and not one person was disappointed. Even though everyone ordered their own burger, I think I would have actually done better sharing one. The burgers come with plenty of battered fries or a choice of potato salad, or a few other options. Super nice & friendly cute waitresses. Great place for groups & families. Enjoyed the live music also!

Was heading back to the Valley through Payson Tuesday after a long fishing trip up north in the White Mountains and stopped for some food. Macky's was recommended so we hit it up before leaving the pines. This is a sit down and order type place. The place was clean and everyone had a smile. We were greeted quickly and given a booth. The service was super friendly and the staff were amazing. Food came out hot and quickly. I got the Macky's Burger and it was really good!! The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly as I ordered it. Loved the fries...they were salted well and had a crispy/crunchy outside...super good! On a scale of 1 - 10, I would definitely hit this place again!

Definitely a go back for me. Ordered the Original Mackys Philly Steak. So delicious. They have Aju sauce too. Partners ordered AZ Chili Bomber. Thick patty, so delicious. After a day of hiking, Mackys is the one.

Macky's Grill is the hidden gem of Payson and certainly worth a stop. Not only does Macky's have a lovely, sizeable patio that is dog-friendly but they also have an incredibly accommodating menu for different dietary needs with many vegan and gluten free options. Also, let me just tell you, their GF bun is so good it had me questioning if it wasn't the regular bun, it was a real treat. This is really just a great spot to grab a bite if you are passing through town or with a group of friends or family. There is something for everyone on the menu and I personally highly, highly recommend the pastrami burger. I love a pastrami burger and have eaten them in many different burger joints in several different states, this is the best I've had yet, hands down. So here is the TL:DR - Large dog friendly patio, friendly waitstaff, extensive menu with something for everyone (even vegan & gluten free), a must stop if you plan to eat in Payson.

Really great stop for lunch as we traveled from Phoenix to Woods Canyon Lake. We had our pooch with us and this place advertised as "dog friendly" - and their patio definitely is. Service was on us as soon as we sat down with a tray full of water for all of us and a nice water bowl for our dog. Food was excellent. I had the Angus burger with pastrami and fries. Loved both the burger and the crispy fries. My wife split the turkey avocado Supreme sandwich with sweet potato tots with my daughter. My grandson had the grilled shrimp tacos and thought they were delicious. Highly recommend.
